The SUBMISSHON Italians to Manga Issho

Mangaka Federica Di Meo and Star publishing manager Cristian Posocco will evaluate the projects of the selected aspirants for Manga Issho.

The SUBMISSHONS are back! On Saturday 4 October at Romics, aspiring mangaka will be able to present their works to the professional mangaka Federica Di Meo, to the publishing manager of Star Comics Cristian Posocco and to the director of Arancia Studio Davide Morando, the Italian editors of MANGA ISSHO, the innovative magazine of global manga that unites the creative forces of four renowned publishers from all over Europe. If you dream of becoming a mangaka and being published in the main European countries, don't miss this opportunity to show off your skills, receive valuable advice and feedback to further improve your work, and possibly join the colorful ISSHO MANGA team!

SUBMISSHONS are open to complete screenwriters, artists and authors who use the manga technique. Authors, although deserving, who do not use the manga technique will not be selected. The SUBMISSHONS will be held at ROMICS, and it will also not be possible to participate remotely.

The application procedure is simple: prepare a portfolio containing character designs, storyboards and tables (for designers), or pitches, scripts and character sheets (for screenwriters), or a name of up to 20 pages or all these things together. The material will be uploaded by Monday 15 September to the Star Comics WeTransfer space: https://starcomics.wetransfer.com/

The selected candidates will receive a confirmation email in the days following Monday 15 September. Buy your ticket and take part in the reviews which will take place at the following time and at the following location:
