Sara Pichelli
Sara Pichelli, born in 1983, lives in Rome. She is best known for creating the visual design of Miles Morales, the new Spider-Man in the Ultimate universe. She began working with Marvel in 2008 after winning the Chesterquest contest. Pichelli has worked on various Marvel titles, including NYX, Namora, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc. It was thanks to her work on the second volume of Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man and her co-creation of Miles Morales that Pichelli won an Eagle Award and a Harvey Award in September 2011, followed by two Stan Lee Awards in 2012. In 2014, she was included among the new Marvel Young Guns (i.e., new talents to invest in for the future). Sara returned in 2017 to the “Spider-Man” series (where Spider-Man Miles Morales was definitively included in the regular Marvel universe). She then devoted herself to the second chapter of the Spider-Men saga together with B.M. Bendis. Between 2018 and 2019, she participated in the relaunch of the Fantastic 4 series, written by Dan Slott. Between 2020 and 2021, Sara worked on a Spider-Man special, written by American director J.J. Abrams and his son Henry. Between 2022 and 2023, she worked on the launch of the new solo series Scarlet Witch, written by the talented Steve Orlando.
