Roberto Diso
Born in Rome on 16 April 1932. At twenty-two he collaborated with "Il Vittorioso", then worked for a long time in England, for Fleetway, and in France, where he made the series "Lancelot" and "Dan Panther". In collaboration with Alberto Giolitti’s studio he also worked on some fantastic stories for the German market and in 1965 he drew some episodes of "Goldrake", an adult comic created by Renzo Barbieri.
In 1974 he met Sergio Bonelli, who entrusted him with two stories for the Collana Rodeo and then involved him in the production of Mister No, a character that he remodels, introducing sensitive changes to the version of Gallieno Ferri. For Mister No, of which he is the main designer, Diso also creates the covers starting from the no. 116, "The valley of the dead".
In 1985 he also ventured into writing, creating texts and drawings of "Rodo", a character born for the magazine "Jungle!" also published by "L'Eternauta". Also in "L'Eternauta" appears, in 1992, a short story he illustrated on texts by Alfredo Castelli for the series "Zona X presenta", while for "Comic Art" he also illustrated "Rudy X", written by Rinaldo Traini.
Despite having worked mainly on Mister No, for our publishing house he has also created stories by Tex, Nathan Never, Dragonero and Volto nascosto, as well as two comic books: "Mohican" and "Linea di sangue".
