He was born in Corato, Bari, in 1993. He graduated in Directing from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome after graduating in Performing Arts and Sciences from La Sapienza University. In 2019 he won the Franco Solinas Award for Best Story with The Unhappy Angel, written with Jacopo del Giudice and Milo Tissone. In 2020, together with Roberto De Feo, he directed the Netflix original film “A Classic Horror Story”, with which he won the award for Best Director at the 67° Taormina Film Fest. In 2022, his second feature film, psychological horror “Rain”, was released, presented in competition at major international festivals, including Sitges Film Festival, Austin Fantastic Fest and Alice nella Città. In 2025, his third film, “La valle dei sorrisi”, was released in theaters at the Venice International Film Festival, where it received significant critical and commercial acclaim and for which it received the Nastro d'Argento for Best Story. The film stars Michele Riondino and Romana Maggiora Vergano. His latest film, “L'Estranea”, will be released in theaters in 2026.
