Otto Gabos
Stage name of Mario Rivelli, born in Cagliari in 1962. In 1985 he made his debut in “Tempi Supplementari” and since then he has published in the most important sector magazines. In 1992 the comic novel “Tobacco” was published by Granata Press, created together with the writer Pino Cacucci and re-proposed in 2005 by BD Alta Fedeltà. He collaborates with Emidio Clementi on “Blood Ending”, a story inspired by the famous character Fantomas. He writes numerous series for “Cyborg”; for Phoenix he signed “Apartments”, the comic novel “Coldgrace” and the miniseries “St. Peter's”. He illustrates covers and volumes for Einaudi, Zanichelli, Paravia, Bruno Mondadori, Giunti. For Lang editions he created a comic adaptation of the novel “A Bag of Marbles” by Joseph Joffo. In 2010 he published “Sarti Antonio. How to get a spider out of the hole” for Leonardo Publishing and “Justice is us” published by Rizzoli. He writes, illustrates and teaches the Art of Comics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
