Luciano Costarelli

Born in 1969, he lives and works in Milan, his hometown. After finishing the Liceo Artistico and the School of Applied Art in Industry at Castello Sforzesco, in 1990 he began working as a colorist for Corriere dei Piccoli before dividing his time between comics, animation, illustration and advertising, in particular creating Storyboards for commercials and music videos. As a cartoonist he has collaborated with Edizioni Eden, Edizioni Center TV, Fenix Edizioni, Forte Editore, Edizioni Master, Casa Editrice Universo. While working as an infographic illustrator at Corriere della Sera, in 1999 he developed Lamincards for Edibas, which led him to deal with licensing for over a decade. As an illustrator he has created many DVD covers for Mondo TV. He currently publishes comics for various publishing houses including Cronaca di Topolinia, Edizioni Inkiostro, Bugs Comics and Weird Book; he collaborates with the historic Studio Smack in Milan and teaches at the School of Comics in Milan.
