Gianni G. Galassi, born in Milan in 1954, after his classical high school in Milan, his studies in philosophy in Pavia and his debut as a photographer, directed for three years an arthouse film. He then moved to Rome where he worked as assistant director of Marco Tullio Giordana and director of commercials and documentaries.
Since 1981 she has been involved in the field of audiovisual localization as a dialogist and dubbing director, specializing in auteur cinema: François Truffaut, Bertrand Tavernier, Pedro Almodòvar, Agnès Varda, Alain Resnais, Eric Rohmer, Denys Arcand, Bruno Barreto, Peter Greenaway, Mike Leigh, AtomEgoyan, Alain Corneau, Nicolas Roeg, Bigas Luna, Ken Loach, Aki Kaurismaki, Zhang Yimou, Fernando E. From 1996 to 1998 he was lecturer in the "Postgraduate Course in Multimedia Translation for Cinema and Television" (Alma Mater University, Bologna) and from 2005 to 2010 in the "Multimedia Translation Course" (Cini Foundation, Venice).
