Gabriele Piretti was born in Rome, where he lives and works. He holds a PhD in history, having written his thesis on psychiatric interpretations of Catholic mysticism in the nineteenth century. He is a temporary teacher of literature in secondary schools and also works on audio description and dialogue adaptation. A passionate and voracious reader, he has written several short stories and has at least a dozen unfinished novels to his name. Creature immonde da dimensioni oscure (Nero Press) is his first novel.
