Diego Del Pozzo
Diego Del Pozzo is a film and audiovisual historian and journalist. Professor of Methodologies and Techniques of Communication at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, he also taught at the University of Naples "Federico II" and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
He is the author of numerous essays in scientific journals, collective volumes, catalogues, dictionaries, encyclopedias and volumes "Al confini della realtà. Fifty years of American TV shows" (Lindau, 2002) and "Marvel Cinematic Universe. From comics to digital audiovisual: superhero films between media convergence and new seriality" (CentoAutori, 2021), as well as curator (together with Vincenzo Esposito) of "Rock Around the Screen. Storie di cinema e musica pop" (Liguori, 2009) and "Il cinema secondo Springsteen" (Cinemasud, 2012). He writes about cinema, TV series and comics in the Culture and Entertainment pages of the daily newspaper "Il Mattino".
In the field of comics, in 1998 he was among the founders of the Comicon of Naples and during the first edition he held the role of head of the press and communication office; in 2020 he was part of the quality jury of the Coco Prize awarded within Etna Comics; since 2021 is among the voters of the prestigious Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, awarded every year during the San Diego Comic-Con International. He is the creator and curator of the annual study day "In the name of Stan Lee. Marvel between comics, cinema and new digital media", organized by the Chair of Advertising Communication (School of Artistic Design for the enterprise - Course in Communication Design) of the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples in collaboration with Comicon within the program of Comic(on)off.
