Marco Cecini

Born in 1982, Doctor of Oriental Languages and Civilizations with a Master’s degree obtained in 2007 at "Sapienza" University of Rome, he has always cultivated a personal interest in Roman History, to which from 2018 to today he has dedicated his main study and research activities. In particular he has deepened the Late Roman world and in particular the Tetrarchic period and the brief reign of the Emperor Maxentius, bringing his studies beyond the simple amateur passion and distinguishing himself for several scientific publications in Italy and abroad and for a commitment as an independent researcher appreciated even at high levels in the academic world.
Communicator and rebuilder active in the field of Historical Re-enactment with the group he founded  "Protectores Domini Nostri", dedicated to the reconstruction of the personal guard and the narrow political and military entourage of Massenzio and protagonist of several national and international cultural events, In 2022, he conceived and hosted the historical outreach program Aeternitas for Channel 10, and is currently working on new scientific publications and a new television broadcast.
