Romics 36 welcomes two authors beloved by Italian and international audiences, protagonists of the contemporary webtoon scene: Jing Jian and Liang Azha. The webtoon, a digital format born in Asia and designed for reading on smartphones, is today one of the most followed and innovative languages of global comics.

An internationally renowned Chinese cartoonist, Jing Jian is famous for works such as Salt Friend and A World Ruled by Cats. With his brilliant humor and immediate narrative style, he manages to blend lightness and depth, winning over millions of readers. With over 1.4 million followers on Weibo, he is also particularly popular in Italy, especially in fandom related to Asian pop culture.

Alongside her, Romics will also host Liang Azha, a Chinese author beloved by Italian audiences thanks to titles like All of You, Checkmate! Capture My Heart, Starting With a Lie and Soul Sealer's School Life. His stories, characterized by delicate atmospheres and pastel colors, have achieved enormous international success. Liang Azha now has 1.8 million followers on Weibo and has already visited Italy several times, becoming deeply fascinated by it.
