Imagine Pinocchio. A conversation with Enzo d’Alò, Matteo Garrone and Stefano Bessoni.

With his marvellous storytelling ability, Pinocchio is, amongst other things, also the perfect prototype for any writer or artist working in the visual arts or cinema.

On Saturday 3 October, three of Italy’s leading film directors – who have each dedicated one of their marvellous works to him – will be discussing the genius of the puppet and of Collodi: Enzo d’Alò, with his 2012 animated film nominated for the European Film Awards and winner of a Nastro d’Argento; Matteo Garrone, with his 2019 film, winner of five David di Donatello awards and nominated for two Oscars; and Stefano Bessoni, with his stop-motion Pinocchio.
