Giorgio Vanni

Giorgio Vanni is an artist, singer and musician, known mainly because he is the voice of the cartoon theme songs that accompanied all of us' adolescence from the ’90s onwards.
In the early ’80s he founded the band Tomato, with which he performed throughout Italy for more than 10 years and released some singles and an album with producers Angelo Carrara, Roberto Colombo and Mauro Paoluzzi. In 1992 he brought the group to Sanremo with the song he composed “Sai cosa sento per te”.
In 1994 he recorded the CD “Grande Cuore” produced by Eugenio Finardi, who also wrote the lyrics for most of the songs. In 1995 he was part of the regular cast of the show “Generazione X” hosted by Ambra Angiolini.
In 1995 he began collaborating with Max Longhi, with whom he wrote and produced songs for important artists such as Laura Pausini, Ricardo Montaner, Mietta Sergio Dalma and Japanese hits, “Super Lover” for the successful boy band W-inds and “Banzai” sung by Misa.

With Max he founded the company Lova Music, whose main activity is the composition and production of music for television, in particular, since 1998, the theme songs of the most beloved cartoons broadcast by Mediaset television networks, such as Pokémon, Dragon Ball, Detective Conan, One Piece and many others including those starring Cristina D'Avena.
Many of these theme songs are now performed by Giorgio in live shows produced and directed in collaboration with his partner Max Longhi. Even today he is the voice of many commercials - such as those of the famous Hot Wheels toy cars - and is the Testimonial of the Movieland Park Amusement Park.
A versatile figure, he continues to work actively together with Max and Daniele Tek Cuccione – a young collaborator of Lova Music – on many new productions: he has collaborated with Matteo Schiavo, aka DJ Matrix, with various well-known YouTubers such as The Show, iPantellas, Maurizio Merluzzo, Sio Scottecs, Matt&Bise, Mark The Hammer and many others.
From 2016 onwards he worked on new theme songs and songs, some still unreleased, grouped together in the album Toon Tunz, released on May 10, 2019.

The long-awaited unplugged album, titled The Gold Session. Cartoon theme songs in a golden guise, will be released on May 13, 2022. Unthought-out and refined arrangements, where animated music and pop hits blend together, contaminating each other. The featured artists include names such as Angelo Maggi, voice actor of Iron Man, Andrea Innesto, Vasco Rossi's historic saxophonist, and Marcello Salcuni, guitarist of Giorgio Vanni's band "I Figli di Goku".

On September 26, 2024, the release of the new album "Uno di noi”" was revealed via social media channels - which takes its title from the unreleased song contained within. The new project was released on November 1, 2024, during the Lucca Comics and Games event and marks the beginning of the artist's collaboration with the Sony Music record label. The album is a collection of Giorgio Vanni's most beloved theme songs, sung in their original version, plus the unreleased song “Uno di noi”, a song dedicated to his CIURMA! The album was released in various formats including three CD versions and three 45rpm double LP versions, thus marking the entry of many of the Vanni-Longhi duo's theme songs on vinyl for the first time.

On October 17, 2025, he collaborated again alongside DJ Matrix and Sony Music, launching "Onda Energetica", a new dance single presented during Lucca Comics 2025.
Il Capitano and L'Ammiraglio never stop, in fact they continue to bring their live music throughout Italy and to produce original songs even outside the world of theme songs, to which they always remain linked.
