Enrico Fornaroli holds the chair of Pedagogy and Art Teaching and teaches “History of Comics” at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, of which he returned to be Director in 2024. He has been involved in mass media and children's literature for years. Responsible for numerous series dedicated to comics, he was an editorial consultant for Panini Comics, for which he edited I Classici del Fumetto and I Classici del Fumetto – Serie Oro di Repubblica. He is the author of numerous essays and catalogues relating to comics, communication and cultural studies. Since 2006 he has curated the Mafrica Day “for popular literature” for the Natalino Sapegno Foundation. He is a member of the “Technical Table on Italian Comics” established in 2020 by the Ministry of Culture.
