Romics Cosplay Award winners - April 2025

The Romics Cosplay Award has ended with great success on Sunday, 6 April 2025.

The jury, composed of Daisy Tirolo, cosplayer of international fame, Giorgia Piancatelli, actress and voice actress, and Ayumi Kamuro, representing the Japanese Institute of Culture, has carefully selected the winners, rewarding the quality, the creativity and originality of the costumes presented.

Every year the Romics Cosplay Award celebrates the art of cosplay, a phenomenon that combines passion, creativity and commitment, and continues to grow as one of Romics' most anticipated moments. The winners of this edition have distinguished themselves for their ability to bring the characters loved by fans to life, creating exciting and unforgettable performances.

The prizes awarded by the jury are:

-   Best Performance Award: Gabriele Valvo for playing Chica from Five Nights At Freddy’s

-   Best Male Costume Award: Mirko Tomasello for his role as Sun Wukong from Black Myth Wukong and the Journey to the West

-   Best Female Costume Award: Laura Muscedere for playing La Llorona from The Conjuring

-   Japan Garden Special Award, awarded in collaboration with the Istituto Giapponese di Cultura in Roma: Mirko Tomasello for his role as Sun Wukong from Black Myth Wukong and Viaggio in Occidente

-   Best Cosplay Award: Arina Kotova for playing Kamen Rider Black Sun from Kamen Rider Black Sun

Romics thanks all the participants for their passion and commitment and makes an appointment to the next edition of the Romics Cosplay Award, where representatives of the World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya 2026 will be selected.
