David Lloyd - Golden Romics of the XIII edition

Lloyd and writer Alan Moore created V for Vendetta, a dystopian adventure featuring a flamboyant anarchist terrorist fighting against a future fascist government. V for Vendetta also became in 2005 a political thriller cult film directed by James McTeigue and written by The Wachowski Brothers. Lloyd, who illustrated in cinematic chiaroscuro, devised V's Guy Fawkes-inspired appearance and suggested that Moore avoid captions, sound effects and thought balloons.

David Lloyd started his career as a comic book illustrator in 1977, working for the English Marvel division, providing a basic contribution to the creation of vigilant Night Raven. Since then he has worked on several projects, including Hellblazer, Sláine, Aliens, Marlowe, Global Frequency, War Stories and his acclaimed graphic novel Kickback. His recent works were produced by European publishers. He has also written and illustrated a book on the city of Sao Paulo. At the present time he is launching the didactic web site Cartoon Classroom which aims to centralize all necessary information for the study of animation and comics in the United Kingdom.
