Born in India, after graduating in Industrial Design, his visionary talent led him immediately from a small indian village directly to the Industrial Light & Magic of George Lucas. His film debut was Forrest Gump but his transition to science fiction was almost immediate, as a Lead Visual Effects Art Director for the special editions of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and then for the second Jurassic Park. After six years at ILM, George opened his own design studio and nowadays is considered one of the most eminent concept designer in the world, sought after by film directors and majors for his encyclopedic ability in creating imaginative universes, hyper realistic robots, spaceships and urban landscapes of the future which recall those of  Syd Mead (Golden Romics 2007). Among his major credits we can mention many of the unforgettable works of contemporary Hollywood science fiction: from The Matrix: Reloaded and Revolution to Cloud Atlas, from Blade Runner 2049 to Star Wars Episode 8 – The Last Jedi, from Wall-E to the second Guardians of the Galaxy. In his eclectic career, among the films which can draw the attention of the fans of Romics we can also cite titles such as: V for Vendetta, Terminator Salvation, Transformers 3, Iron–Man 2 and the newest Godzilla: Kings of Monsters, that will be released in cinemas during the summer of 2019. At this moment, George is contributing to create the visual imaginary of what he defines the work of his dreams: the new Dune, the film adaptation - directed by Denis Villeneuve - of Frank Herbert’s book, one of the best selling science fiction novel of all time.

George Hull will be guest of Romics from 4 to 7 April and the protagonist of an exhibition dedicated to his works for the great hollywood blockbusters of science fiction, he will also take part in special events the details of which will be announced within the next few weeks.
