JUNICHI HAYAMA SPECIAL GUEST FOR THE XXVII ROMICS EDITION

 

Junichi Hayama character designer, animator and sakkan will be one of the special guests in the XXVII Romics edition.

Junichi Hayama was born in 1965 in Nagano prefecture. Directly after graduation, he began working in the Onion Production. In 1984 he appears for the first time as inbetweener in the Gu Gu Ganmo series (unpublished in Italy). After taking part as animator in the first series of Ken the Warrior under his master direction, Masami Suda, for the first time ever he covers the role of a sakkan (animation director) in 1987 for the second series of Ken the Warrior. In 1989 he starts as a character designer in the Be-Bop Highschool series. Between 1993 and 2002 he works as character designer and animation director for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series: Stardust Crusaders.

He has been involved in many productions, both japan and American, however in his latest collaborations we can find titles as Tiger Mask W, Drifters and Golden Kamuy. Furthermore, he has worked as animation director for some OAV of Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac.

He will be the leading role for an unmissable Masterclass within Romics in which he will recall his career and he will reveal  his drawing techniques and in addition to that he will be attend a meeting on japan animation, a journey among legends in order to find what is behind the working process of such important series. Hayama will meet also his fans for signing session.
