Cristina D’Avena, the greatest voice of theme songs for animated series in Italy, returns at Romics with a special event which celebrates her amazing artistic success performing the new theme song of the series Captain Tsubasa entitled “Tutta d’un fiato (fino al fischio finale)”.
Born in Bologna on 6 July 1964, Cristina D’Avena made her debut at the age of 3 and a half, singing Il valzer del moscerino at the tenth edition of the children’s song festival Zecchino d'Oro, finishing third in the competition. At the age of seventeen, when the singing was for her just a hobby, she signed an exclusive contract for the music label Five Record, so as to become the interpreter of the song "Bambino Pinocchio". The commercial success of the 45 rpm disc gave an official start to her career: since then she has never ceased to record theme songs and her voice has been constantly present on italian tv at least once a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Among the most successful titles of the early years we can particularly mention Canzone dei Puffi in 1982 and Kiss me Licia in 1985: to this last one the singer has often declared to be extremely fond. During her career Cristina also presented many tv programs and in 1998 he made her debut in cinema playing herself in the film Cucciolo directed by Neri Parenti. In 2002 Cristina celebrated her 20-year career anniversary with the releasing of a double CD entitled “Cristina D'Avena: Greatest Hits", that collects the major successes of the singer. In 2017 the album “Duets - Tutti cantano Cristina” reproposed some songs rearranged and performed in a duet with 16 great names of italian music; selling more than 50 thousand copies and making Cristina D'Avena, in that year, the only woman ranked in the Top 20 best-selling albums in Italy. On 23 November 2018 she published her last album “Duets Forever - Tutti cantano Cristina”, containing further 16 duets with as many big names of italian music, and receiving the gold record certification on 11 February 2019. On 8 March 2019 a new song was released entitled Centouno Dalmation Street. This title is the first theme song of the artist dedicated to an animated Disney series.
